vr is going nowhere fast, it's gonna be about as successful as the kinect and ps move were. When you release games like being an eagle flying around the environment that's really gonna bring gamers to your hardware. At the moment it appears the only real feasible gaming option would be a flight simulator because it'll be difficult to bridge the gap between needing a controller for shooters. You can do racing sims and what not but I can't see how vr will work with a shooter other than just acting like a screen for your eyes. If they let you look around then they have to tie the aiming mechanic to the look function which will ruin any real gunplay or aiming. And as far as I know no one has a solution for this. They basically need to make one thumb stick control movement and the other control the weapons orientation and your head will control your point of view, leaving all the other button layouts as they were originally and just changing what the right stick does. Even still I don't see this tech taking off in any other games aside from flight and racing
